A salted ham naturally dried and cured. It requires a minimum curing of 18 months. It has a distinctive delicate and slightly sweet taste, and a tender and compact structure. Each Prosciutto di Parma ham is 100% natural, without additives nor preservatives.
Parma ham has been crafted with the same painstaking care ever since Roman times. It’s produced exclusively in the province of Parma, Emilia Romagna, whose regional idiosyncrasies make it possible to produce the highest quality hams using only four ingredients: specially-bred and fed Italian pigs, sea salt, air, and the most important of all, time. It’s distinguished by the coveted Protected Denomination of Origin (P.D.O.) status.
